Come one, come all to the Forensics Showcase at Topeka High, Hoehner Auditorium, at 7:30 p.m. tonight and Saturday night.  Everyone is welcome to come—admission is free!  See some of the best talent at THS.

Are you interested in taking Drivers Ed this summer?  If so, enrollment will be held on May 18th from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Hope Street Academy.

SENIORS: Stop by the Cafeteria Office to see if you owe for any meals.  Any charges must be paid before you can get your diploma.

Any ladies interested in playing golf next year should stop by Room 333 and see Coach Nelson.

Amnesty International letter writing campaign will take place today at 3:05 in Room 300.  Be there—save a life.

Mandalas  for sale--$4.  You can purchase during lunch or from Mrs. Vega in Room 334A.  Don’t miss out on this imaginative publication.  WOW!  What a price!

Locker reservations before school and during lunch this week.  Cost is $3.  You must have your ID.
 
ATTENTION NEXT YEAR’S JUNIORS AND SENIORS:  Are you a good student who would enjoy helping your peers with homework while earning credit?  There is a new program called Tower Time at Topeka High.  This program provides an opportunity for juniors and seniors to tutor students in various subjects.  Students will be trained in tutoring skills in order to provide academic assistance to their peers.  Tutors are identified or approved through an application process and/or through teacher recommendations.  Excellent attendance is mandatory.  Students may opt to take this course for elective credit or for community service.  The course may be taken more than once.  Applications are available from the Curriculum Coordinator or the Literacy Coach and also in Division II.  Be a leader at Topeka High—sign up for Tower Time!

In celebration of Cinco de Mayo the Spanish Department will once again hold a contest for the best decorated cascaron.  If you don’t know what that is, then check out the display in Room 209 and vote for your favorite one.  You can vote today, after school.  The votes will be counted today at 3:15.  So, make sure to check out how talented your classmates are and vote for your favorite casarion!

LADIES: Be a part of the 2009 Graduation!  Sign up for Daisy Chain in the Main Office now through May 7th.

SENIORS: You must turn in the same textbook you were issued to receive credit.  If you fail to turn in the correct textbook, turn in a damaged book, or no book at all, you will be required to pay full price for the book.  When turning in your book, you will be asked to sign the TEXTBOOK INVENTORY FORM to show that you returned the correct textbook.  If you do not sign the form, you may be mistakenly charged for a book.  You may participate in the textbook rebate program.  You must have all your teachers sign the TEXTBOOK RETURN PROCEDURE form.  Forms may be found in either Division Office.  Turn in your textbooks and have your teacher sign the form.  Bring the completed TEXTBOOK RETURN PROCEDURE form to the Business Office (Rm. 101) before 7:50 in the morning, during 1st or 2nd lunch, or after school May 11th and 12th  SENIORS ONLY.  (You will need to have your school ID badge).  If you have a partial schedule 2nd semester, please bring a copy of your schedule.  The Division Office will print a copy for you.

SENIORS: Please turn in all library books to the bookkeeper in Room 101.  If you don’t return them you won’t be able to get your diploma.
