The Student Services Office at Topeka High School is a place of
Acceptance and Assistance. Located in room 236, Student Services
houses the offices of the school's Social Workers. The professionals
and support staff of Student Services stand ready to assist students
in the emotional, social, developmental and educational areas of
their lives at Topeka High.

Which Students Might Benefit From School Social Work Services?
Students who show signs of social, emotional, physical or environmental
difficulties-those who show signs of:
Failure to complete school work
Behavioral problems
Inappropriate aggression
Impulsiveness
Frequent physical complaints
Poor peer or adult relations
Difficulty adjusting to classroom structure
Frequent or severe mood swings
Drug and/or alcohol abuse
Physical, emotional or sexual abuse
Feelings of depression or thoughts of suicide
Eating disorders
Sleeplessness
Anxiety or excessive fear
Trouble coping with death or loss
Truancy
